Orthopedic Manual Therapy

Manual therapy is a clinical approach used by physical therapists, to treat musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. It involves hands-on techniques to assess, diagnose, and treat soft tissues and joints.  At Michelle Rodriguez Physical Therapy & Wellness the therapist are certified or working towards their certification in Manual Therapy through the North American Institute for Manual Therapy (NAIOMT)

Release

Gentle, sustained pressure on connective tissue to relieve pain and restore motion

Muscle Energy Techniques

Uses a patient’s own muscle contractions to help improve mobility and alignment

Goals of Manual Therapy

This treatment approach aims to reduce pain, improve mobility and function, restore proper alignment and movement patterns, and enhance overall physical performance. Often integrated into a broader physical therapy plan, it is typically combined with therapeutic exercises and other modalities to support long-term recovery and optimal health outcomes.
